2021 Red Oxx Event Lawn Schedule Year in Review

Pub Station was the concert sponsor and promoter (unless otherwise noted) during the premier year of 2021. The gates opened at 5 p.m and the shows started at 6 p.m.. Most events featured fresh food baked on-site in our wood-fired oven and smoker BBQ Grill by local prize-winning local chef Mike from PizzaCotta.

EVENTS LAWN USAGE POLICY: RULES AND REGULATIONS

Weather: Concerts will be held regardless of weather (unless there’s a tornado warning!). Dress for extremes such as heat, wind or rain. Consider layering as temperatures may drop noticeably after sunset. Remember, it’s Montana. No umbrellas please.

Smoking: There is NO smoking – this includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, joints, blunts, etc. Exceptions for legal smokeables in the Smoking Area only. The Smoking Area is at the 4th Avenue alley entrance. Be considerate and please dispose of your butts in the cigarette butt disposal container.

Photography: Cameras with removable lens, video cameras and sound recording devices are not allowed.

Food and Beverages: Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Bringing in food or beverages is not allowed.

No Re-Entry: Once you have made your entry through the gates, you may NOT exit and re-enter.

Masks: Masks are optional as is “social distancing”. If you feel sick – DO NOT ATTEND!

Hand Sanitizer: You will find hand sanitizer dispensers next to the bathroom stations. Please use it when you are finished.

Attendees caught violating these Rules and Regulations will be immediately ejected. These violations include urinating anywhere on the property other than in the on-site toilets. This also includes smoking (except in approved smoking locations). Exhibiting aggressive or obnoxious behavior will be equally aggressively dealt with immediately. Repeat offenders will be banned from all future events.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

Chairs including folding, camping, lounges, etc. Exceptions can be made for individuals with disabilities. Please contact Christian ahead of the show at 1-888-733-6999 to make arrangements.
Backpacks are prohibited. If you must bring a bag it must be smaller than 10″ x ” x 2″. These bags, cases, parcels, and containers will be subject to inspection upon entering the Event Lawn.
Alcoholic beverages.
Animals – the only exception is for certified service animals.
Bicycles, scooters, skates, segway’s, skateboards, golf carts or unauthorized means of transportation. Disability vehicles such as electric scooters and wheelchairs will be accommodated.
Coolers or picnic baskets.
Distribution of unauthorized promotional or commercial materials.
Fireworks, explosives, smoke bombs, sparklers, or any other incendiary devices.
Glass or metal containers.
Aerosol cans and dangerous illegal substances.
Hoola Hoops and Poi.
Weapons of any kind including guns, knives, pepper spray, swords, clubs, bats, axes, multi-tools, mace, cable ties, or handcuffs.
Items that may be deemed a safety hazard or annoyance to concert attendees. These items include: flags, balls, banners, frisbees, balloons, whistles, musical instruments, laser pointers, noisemakers, rotten tomatoes. In addition, also banned are any type of “projectiles”.
Large umbrellas, tents, or canopies.

Please note: Some shows may have different rules, depending on contract, tour manager/management etc. However, the above typically covers it overall.

Previous Red Oxx Event Lawn Shows

Friday May 14th’s Grand Opening show sold out! Ian Munsick with Tim Hayes on fiddle and show opener Kasey Tyndall performed under clear skies and Montana springlike conditions.

This Pub Station Concert sold out for 500 hard-core Munsick fans. They gathered under the shadow of the rims and sang along to Munsick’s smooth country songs. Deemed a huge success by both the musicians and Pub Station owner Sean Lynch. The event’s promising start meant many more fun concerts are in the works.

And So It Begins

Ian Munsick kicks off the Events Lawn Summer Shows.

The Friday night Ian Munsick show was sold out. Therefore a second nearly sold-out show was added the night before on Thursday May 13th.

Hoola Hoops Girls spin their colored lights magic.

May 15 Saturday night’s Community Dub show drew a gathering of like-minded dub artists who put on a dance groove and “chillaxing” gig. Local musician Mandi “Aija” Castro set the tone opening the show. Community Dub artists who performed included Aija, Animal Treats, Beautiful Existence, Blake from the Lake, Blyte, Epitome J, ET3, Kyzmet, Mind Hunny, Subvasive, Tonbo, Wrinse, and Zak Bracy. Featured tattoo artist Whitney Marie Dononhue made an appearance. Community Dub show was sponsored by Roots Market and The Midway Grill & Brews.

June 17th was a calm warm summer Thursday night when The Steel Woods played to an small but enthusiastic crowd.

Two nights later, on June 19th during a cloudy Saturday night, Cash’d Out – the Premier Johnny Cash Tribute Show tore up the stage with plenty of cool Cash classics. The Event Lawn continues to draw crowds and classic tunes. Isn’t it time for you to join the fun?

June 26 was a warm, partly cloudy Saturday evening. Popular Bozeman based bluegrass band Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs followed the evening show openers Them Coulee Boys. And On Into Summer

Friday July 9th country music star Jordan Davis sang to a sold-out crowd. 800 screaming sing-along, hard-partying fans grooved to a “slow dance in the parking lot”.

The following Friday July 16, country crooner Charlie Crockett strode the stage to a large crowd of hard-core country western fans. Charlie comment about the Event Lawn was “It’s a nice patch of grass”. Charlie’s honest and down-to-earth music “struck a chord” with the fans.

It was hot and so was Easton Corbin’ performance. He sang to a large crowd of nearly 500 fans the next evening, Saturday July 17th.

Monsters of Rock shook the earth on Saturday, August 21st and got leotard tight with the hair band fans as they dressed up as their favorite 80s metal rock stars.

August 27th, lovely Friday Night Country stars BlackHawk laid out their classics to a small, but grateful crowd.

Drake White OPTIMYSTIC Tour

During the final weekend of concerts, September 3rd, Friday Night, famous country crooner Drake White brought his upbeat OPTIMYSTIC Tour with Kasey Tyndall to town. The Honky-Tonk Alabama Americana musician was impressed with the Event grounds, commenting they were an inspiration for his own concert venue back in Alabama.

Closing out the season on September 4th it was a rocking Saturday Night with Hell’s Belles All Girl AC/DC Tribute Band. The head banging classic heavy metal tribute rockers showed the crowd just who had the Biggest Balls of them All!
