Compact "POD MODE" Storage

This unique "Turtle shell" ability to turn the bag inside-out, compress it, and zip around the red lining to create a compact three-inch deep pod allows you to store the bag in something as small as a chest of drawers, a backpack, under the seat, etc.

HOW TO PUT THE BAG INTO POD MODE FOR STORAGE

1. Unzip all zippers
2. Remove strap, place inside bag
3. Tuck handles into main compartment
4. Stand the bag up vertical with Red Nylon pocket on bottom
5. Shove the bag down
6. Tuck everything in
7. Grasp end pocket, pull edges over the compressed bag, turning the edging in and tucking the bag into the now inside-out "pocket"
8. Grasp the zip knot on the zipper and pull the zipper around until the bag is closed

Can you offer this product in the Safari color way Please?

Jim's Gym Bag is only available in black with contrasting red stitching.

Much of the materials used on this product are only available in specific colors. For example the black mesh and red 400 nylon lining so it's just not possible to offer it in any other color ways.

What's the difference between the Sun Chaser and the Flying Boxcar and Jim's Gym Bag?
The Flying Boxcar Sports Duffel and its little brother the Sun Chaser were developed to carry supplemental sports gear such as scuba gear (fins, goggles, snorkel) in the extra long main compartments, which are also padded in the bottom. Whereas Jim's Gym Bag is more of a "go to the gym to workout" type of duffel that would carry work-out clothes, gloves, lifting straps yoga mat, and so on.

Can I use this gym bag for carry-on travel?
You can use it for flying airplanes, but we don't market it as such. It's tubular shape isn't conducive to use in overhead bins, though it will fit easily.

Why is only a portion of the bag mesh?
The mesh is used in the primary compartment area where wet, sweat soaked clothes would be packed. This allows them to dry out a bit and prevent mildew. The other section without mesh is for privacy.

Is there a way to securely lock my bag?
Sure, you can use any TSA approved bag lock or try our Cable Lock for a simple, semi-secure solution. Watch this video where CEO Jim Markel demonstrates how you can use the cable that comes with the product Dog Tag price tag to secure your bag. Keep in mind, any determined thief can still cut open a soft sided bag with a sharp knife.

Are there any interior pockets?
The Gym Bag does include a slip interior pocket located on one end.

My zipper broke. The teeth have separated. Do I send it in for warranty repair?
No need for warranty repair, try to fix it yourself. Check out this video where CEO Jim Markel shows how easy it is to do it yourself.

Can you ship USPS?
