Design input from world class climber Dr. Jean Ellis combined with our parachute rigging techniques helped to build you an expedition bag to take anything anywhere. Proven on all seven continents, you’ll thank us a thousand times over for the grab loops on both ends and the ballistic skid plate on the bottom, plus padding.
Storm flaps keep out whatever Mother Nature sends your way while big side pockets keep necessities accessible. One of the hurdles with a duffel bag this big is carrying it once you’ve filled it up. The answer? Stow-able padded backpack straps and a false bottom. This allows you 4 different convenient methods to carry the Sherpa Jr.
1. Carry it by the top handle. 2. Carry it by both end handles. 3. Carry it with one end handle. 4. Carry it on your back with the backpack straps.
We even sized the Sherpa Jr. Expedition Duffel Bag to fit into the luggage hatch of a Cessna 182. Now you know why Red Oxx calls it a Sherpa!
Dimensions: 27"Lx15"Wx15"H (fits in Cessna 182)
Capacity: 6,075 cu. Inches

Fully two and 1/2 times the size of the Flying Boxcar, the Sherpa is hardly a 'Junior'. A magnificently built carryall that easily converts to a backback for long hauls, this cavernous bag went to Asia half empty and came back with plenty of room to spare, despite much collecting of artifacts. Since I didn't have enough gear to stuff it full, I added a thin plywood panel at the bottom to make it easier to handle. Without the panel, the bag was shapeless and drooped when carried by the shoulder strap. If you can't fill it, you'll probably be happier with a smaller bag. Red Oxx should make a 4,200 cu.in. version of this bag to fill the void between it and the Flying Boxcar. Great product, great customer service.
