I am amazed at how such a small item is so handy. I'm notorious for putting things everywhere when I travel and this has made my stays for the last few months much more stress-free, as I don't end up worrying about where all my 'stuff' went. It never leaves my travel bag (soon to be a skytrain if I have my way) until it's the first thing I pull out upon my arrival.
Better than those stress squeezy things

I use a couple of "decorative" ceramic plates/bowls at home to hold knick knacks - earrings, watch, non-winning lottery ticket, etc. But when I travel, all that stuff gets dumped on whatever handy surface is around - counter top, dresser top, bag top. Something always gets lost. So this is pretty darn handy. What I didn't expect was that it is also therapeutic: My order from Red Oxx was delivered to my office, and, having the patience of a 5-year-old at Christmas, I opened up everything. My co-workers bounced in with "Whatcha got?" expressions, and, having the Saffron-colored travel basket in plain sight, they started playing with it. SNAP, snap, SNAP, snap, SNAP! I can attest to the workmanship, since we have been playing with the darn snaps for a couple of hours now. It works better than those stress squeezy thingies. Sort of like popping bubble wrap. (Between the snaps, the Air Boss, and the Monkey's Fists, the candy dish is being ignored. Not only do Red Oxx products help you organize life and travel better, they fight obesity!!) Don't just buy one... get a few. I think I'm going to get another one for my car for use during rush-hour traffic road rage.
Great idea

I picked this up with one of my orders and thought I'd use it on trips. I'm always looking for a routine for my keys, wallet, and cell while on trips and with the ability to fold flat this seemed like a good idea. As someone suggested I ordered the bright saffron color thinking it would be easy to spot at night. I haven't tried it on a trip yet but it's now on my desk and used daily. I have my cell, wallet, keys, watch, and company badge in there. Really great idea and has the rugged look and feel of all the other Red Oxx products I own. My only fear is that I will forget to pack it when it comes time to travel. Very neat product. Matt M
Constantly on the road? Get this now!

If I had a dollar for every time I've misplaced rental car keys... I think we've all been there, looking high and low for a single nondescript key on an equally hard-to-find keyring (or, worse, paper tag!). Too many days on the road? Too many hotels with different layouts in each one? Too many demands on your time until you stagger into your room, pitch the keys and contents of your pockets, and collapse on the bed? When you wake up it's always 'Where'd I put that?' Well, this basket is the answer to your endless hunts for items you need Right Now. Make it a habit to ALWAYS put the key(s), the cell, the flash drive, the watch, and all those other odds and ends we all cart around as part of our Road Warrior selves in this basket. Use it at home too - or get two. Get a Saffron one so you can't lose it even with the lights out. I did! You also won't forget to pack it. Alas, remembering the quickest way to the airport is not part of its duties (but it will hold the map). Happy Travels!

My travel basket sits on my kitchen counter and when I get home from work I put everything in it like my keys, phone, mail, etc. so that it's all in one place and I don't ever lose anything. I will also take it on trips for the same purpose!

I've always had the typical little change dish on top of my dresser-it's nothing fancy and it doesn't take up much space, but it barely holds a buck in change, let alone my key chain. The Travel Basket by Red Oxx is the ultimate solution! This lightweight basket has more than enough room for my keys, change, pocketknife, wallet, watch, and more and it's light, compact design make it great for travel, camping, and home use! Great product!
Red Oxx Products are worthy of their price.

Since I was young I have traveled to many places in the United States with cheaper luggage that looks exactly like everyone else's in the airports or on family road trips, but now that I have been introduced to Red Oxx my luggage will definitely be different from everybody else's. After I used the travel basket at home for my pocket change, cell phone, chapstick, etc... I realized that Jim Markel was right about the sturdiness of his products and the vast assortment of colors - he really has created tremendous products and I will certainly be buying Red Oxx products for my future travels.

I put the travel basket on the counter next to my computer; I put my keys, watch, and my lucky "test" pencil in it habitualy every night. It truly has kept me from losing those items I don't think about. Red Oxx has come up with a "winner" of a product. Peter R. Widener

This travel basket took me by surprise, it is extremely useful. Now I dont loose my keys or cell phone plus it is great for traveling because it can fold flat. I like the high quality durable material that it is made of and the fact that there are so many colors to choose from. With xmas coming up this is a very good stocking stuffer for those difficult people to buy for.

The travel basket that was given to me after listening to Jim Markel give a talk in Laura Blacks 446 class has helped to organize my highly unorganized life. Everyday when I come home from school or work, I now have a place where I can keep my keys, iPod, and cell phone. The travel basket saves me time in the morning because I no longer have to look for these items when I wake up in a rush because I am late for class. Now my life is more better organized because of the travel bag.

I was recently given a Red Oxx travel basket and at first I wasn't very impressed and didn't think I had a need for it. After putting it on my desk for a day I noticed how I started to put things in it such as my wallet, keys, cellphone, etc. It is a really handy little organizer that is made of durable materials that will last forever I am sure. I would recommend the travel basket to anyone.

I am an avid photographer who likes to shoot landscape and outdoor adventure pictures. I took this along with me this weekend to shoot in the newly fallen snow. The travel basket gave me a place to set my lenses when I was changing them in the field. Anything that will help protect my equipment is well worth the money.

I can't believe what a wonderful idea this is! I can't tell you the amount of time that I have wasted searching for my keys, my wallet, and even my cell phone. This travel basket saves time when I'm at home, because I simply dump everything in my pockets into it. On the weekends, when I travel, it is even more useful. I never know where to put my "pocket stuff" when visiting friends or relatives for the weekend. Now I can just fold the travel basket flat in my bag, and pop out my little piece of home to secure all my things! Everyone should have one of these!

The travel basket showed me that Jim Markel was not kidding with the quality of his products. This item is made with the most durable fabric and heavy duty snap buttons. Owning the travel basket has made me want to further my collection of Redoxx products. Rhianna Jerke

Red Oxx is the company to turn to when you are tired of buying cheap junk that falls apart. They contantly are creating high quality products, and this is no exception. Convienient, durable, stylish, and well made. Furthermore, the owner of the company gives back to his community in Bozeman MT. He recently volunteered to give a presentation for a college course I am enroled in (it was excellent).

While initially this product seemed to not have much use, I have found it to be very useful. It is on my desk and I use it to put change, keys etc into it. This helps me to avoid a mess on my desk. The material used in the product is of very high quality and the wide selection of color ensures there is one for everyone.

The "pile" has just been upgraded. Red Oxx's travel basket is the perfect organizer on the road and in the household bathroom drawer for the pocket contents that my wife calls my obsessive compulsive pile. OK, I admit that moving my pile is like moving my cheese. Now, I can put my travel basket in a drawer and the dimensions of the basket are perfect for squaring up my card wallet with my cell phone stacked on top, money clip, a pen on the side, and room for business cards and a watch. Only problem is if somebody were to move my basket, I'd be lost!

For its production quality I give this product a 5 out of 5 but I don't really have need for a travel basket since I'm very anal when it comes to my keys, wallet and anything else I carry in my pockets. Though I did really enjoy the presentation you gave in our class. You gave me the sort of inspiration I need to pursue my ambitions to become an entreprenuer. Thanks Ian Mealey

The travel basket worked out so well for me. Everynight that I am on the road I know exactly where my personal items are, (watch, phone, moneyclip, etc)they are in my travel basket. The travel basket is light weight and folds up so that it stores easily in my carry on luggage. Its great item for all individuals that travel a lot and tend to lose things. Thanks Red OXX for the travel basket. Tyler Beth

October 8th, 2006 I cannot lie. When I first spoke to Jim Markel (owner/operator Red Oxx) about the the Travel Basket, one question came to mind: Why and where would I ever use a piece like this? One word came to mind: superfluous. Nevertheless, I put my doubts and fancy words aside and took the basket to Europe. As I traveled throughout the Netherlands and Germany, I began to realize that this "overlooked" piece of luggage was really quite handy. For those of you unfamiliar with the basket, it can best be described as a flat, cloth tray with buttons. When unbuttoned, the tray packs flat so that it takes up virtually no space in your luggage. Once removed, the basket's buttons snap together to form four walls. While in Europe I used this handy device to house my passport, hotel keys, watch, wedding ring, stray euro, salt and pepper shakers, and even liters of beer--Yes, this little basket IS QUITE versatile. The genius of this unobtrusive luggage piece lies in what it provides: a central and accessible location for the small yet important items that tend to scatter about a hotel room. Though I was initially skeptical of the basket's utility, I came to admire and even depend on this little basket. Yes folks, this gear IS worth it.
More useful than you think!

I’ve seen similar items in catalogs before, and always kinda wanted one but couldn’t really get over the idea it was kind of a frivolous item. Then my wife and I stayed with some relatives, in a well-used home-office that was a pretty good black hole for absorbing items – so far two packages of stuff we’d forgotten have been sent to us. Having a place to put keys, wallet, etc. when you travel suddenly made one hell of a lot of sense. I’m far more muddle-headed than usual when traveling, and I misplace stuff plenty often at home. A portable “right place” to put stuff makes sense. It’s big enough without being too big, and the foam padding in the bottom is a nice addition, which makes the thing useful even as a makeshift pillow (to soften an airplane or car window, for example).

This is a great little basket that spends a lot of time on my desk at work. A bit addicting to open and close, open and close... :D Only drawback is that other desk items now look quite dull! Now if only airport screeners would let me use instead of their sad little baskets.
