Red Oxx Varmint Rifle Case Stays On Target
Zeroing in on Airline Baggage Gorillas to shown 'em who's the Master

An Airline Rifle Case fit for the Queen's Games. Forest Taylor flew, drove and dragged his Red Oxx Varmint Master Rifle Case across America to the West Coast, and from there across the Pacific to Australia, the "Land Down Under." Nearly 24,000 miles later, his rifle bag stayed tough and protected his precious target rifle from careless damage.

Hi Jim,
I enjoy competitive target shooting. Periodically, I get the opportunity to travel someplace interesting and compete. For my Red Oxx Adventure Journal entry, I want to tell you about your Varmint Master Rifle Case that I used when I traveled to Australia for a Target Match. There I shot in the long range competition at the Queen's Games in Victoria and in the World Games in South Australia.

I like how your padded soft case has 3 large pockets for that extra stuff that goes along with any competition rifle. I stored my bolt case, bolt flag, shooting glove, rifle sling, extra sites, my shooting scores book and a 50 round box of target ammo in the zip-tight storage pockets. You should have seen the other shooters. They were quite impressed. My green rifle case was a hit.

During my travel time, I stored my rifle in your Varmint Master Rifle Case, which I then packed in my so-called "Airlines Approved" hardcase. I flew out of Gulfport, Mississippi to San Francisco, then to Los Angeles. It was on a long oceanic flight to Australia.

After I arrived, I traveled by car to Glenrowan, Victoria to shooting match in the Queen's Games.

During my down-times between matches, I stayed for a week in Beechworth, Victoria. This was the home of the early gold rush days during the mid 1800s, where the notorious bushranger outlaw Ned Kelly prowled. Congratulations to Bill and Anne Bell, owners of the Golden Heritage Motor Inn. A truly beautiful place to stay and wonderful hosts with accommodating amenities.

It was a long drive to Adelaide, located in South Australia, where I competed in shooting matches at the World Games. All told, in the 6 weeks I was gone, I traveled over 18,000 miles by air and another 6000 miles by car. By the end of my journey my "Airlines Approved" hardcase was busted up silly; dents, scratches, sprung hinges, and a crushed corner. Thankfully, your Varmint Master Rifle Case continued to pad and protect my rifle, just like it had since day one. Try as they may, the "airline baggage gorillas" couldn't damage your case or my rifle.

Thanks for making an outstanding Rifle Case!
Sincerly,
Forest T. Taylor

That is awesome news Forest. Us shooters appreciate a good quality rifle case that some goons in baggage can't rough up. Especially when some of our accessories cost more than our rifle! Just one question though, you never told us how well you did in the competition matches?

UPDATE! Great news! Forest just informed us:

"I was pleased with my results and when the "smoke" cleared, I managed to walk away with 7 medals. (2 Team Gold, 1 Team Silver, 1 Individual Silver and 3 Individual Bronze)."

Forest, you are the MAN! - Jim
