This is my second RedOxx Market Tote - not because the first one is damaged. Nope, far from it. Still perfect after two+ years of heavy use. I purchased a second because my other totes are just not as useful, durable, or multi-purpose. The market tote's ability to "stand" is a definite plus for groceries - checkers are always saying "what a great bag," "we wish more customers had reusable bags like this one," and (since I use this a "basket" while shopping around the store, and then unload at the checkstand) "how did you fit SO MUCH STUFF in ONE bag?" This tote gets complimented at every grocery shopping outing, beach day, gym sesh, or just around town. I never have to worry about it breaking or not having enough room for that one last purchase. This is one bag that I'll make space for in my luggage on long trips. Get one - you will not be disappointed!

Best in quality...best in function...best looking colors! We put 3 in each car so that we are ready for anything, mostly used for groceries but are great for picnics, stashing coats and other gear. I do agree thatthe handles are a tad bit long but its not an issue. I am hooked on everything Redoxx!!

The town I live in recently passed an ordnance requiring a fee for paper grocery bags (and eliminating plastic) so we were forced to move to reusables.
Purchasing quality, rugged, last a lifetime bags from Redoxx has turned this annoyance into a pleasure since we now have useful bags with us at all times. We're continually asked "where did you get those bags?" at the grocery store

These are, by far, the best bags I have found - and, I have tried others from competitors. These are so strong, roomy, sturdy and spacious. The people at the stores keep asking where I got them. The straps are perfect for shoulder use, but, for a shorty like me, a little long for carry by the handles. Still, I just ordered 7 more - a few as presents for my Vermont liberal climate dreamers.

As is everything I've purchased from RedOxx the Market Tote is extremely well constructed. Got tired of all the plastic bags from the grocery stores. Even re-using many of them they pile up and some are wasted. Walmart is the worst offender. They use 3-4 times the # of bags of any other store.
Sent one off to our son in Australia. Not the first RedOxx item to make it to Australia. :)
Please consider larger sizes as well.

We are collecting quite an array of Red Oxx bags. The first was my Air Boss followed a Sky Train for my wife. When I ordered four of these for Christmas presents for my 3 daughters and my wife, my wife complained that they were too expensive (which she discovered inadvertantly after opening the confirmation e-mail from Red Oxx). When she saw what the Market Totes were actually like, she quickly changed her tune. She is thrilled with hers, as are my daughters. We will be ordering more.

I ordered two of these bags for myself and just love them for groceries! They are extremely sturdy and hold a lot. I love the long handles so they can easily be carried on my shoulder. The bags look like they will last forever. I love that they are made in the USA! Good job Red Oxx!

This is a very well made bag that could be used for just about anything. It is exactly as they say in the description - it will last a long time.
My one issue with the bag is that if you are using it just for groceries as I do, the handles are too long. Most people carry grocery bags by the handles with their arms fully extended along the side of the body - straight down.
Unless you are 6ft tall or more the bags will hit the ground so you end up having to bend your arm and carry the weight in a much more uncomfortable position. Carrying over the shoulder isn't much better if the bag is heavy and it won't stay on your shoulder very well anyway. And when you are carrying two of these bags it is really not easy to do with both arms bent.
So the long handles may be good for some people but I would like to see an option for handles 2/3rds as long.
These are 5 star bags but I knocked one off for the handles.

This "Market Tote" should really be named the "Multi Tote". One can use it for anything! I plan to use it for overflow-- Gifts, when I go home for Christmas. & probably hauling presents received back. (Assuming I've been a good boy all year).
I've already used it for books I donate, a stack of newspapers I brought to the recycling center, and a 20 lb. bag of dog food purchased at the pet store. Sadly, I've yet to use it at the grocery store :)

This is my second market tote as a family member stole the first one after a couple of uses. I use it as a tote and as the airline personal item carryon in addition to a Skytrain.
It came in useful on a recent trip when I had to unexpectedly transport an odd-sized, fragile, object that didn't fit into a regular bag.
I'm in love with the fact that the straps are long enough to wear over one's shoulders. I often wear it as a hands-free backback, handy when spending a day on the streets. It easily holds a day's worth of coats, food, water, and whatnot.

The tote is really great, totally over specced and feels like it would last forever. The only thing is that the fabric is so heavy that it takes up quite a lot of room in your travel bag. It gets daily use here. A++

I have two of these bags that I use several times a week. Mainly they are used to bag the groceries and get them home in one piece. But other times I might load one up with tools to take to the office for a project. Recently I brought ten picture frames to the office - 5 in each bag.
The bags are made with the same robust quality that all RedOxx items have. I like being able to say to the baggers at the store "load it up, this bag can handle it all." And I mean it. When the co-op has a sale on chicken broth, I can load a dozen into one bag without expecting it to split open along the way. I have even put one in my carry-on for travel because there is always something to carry up from the car or from a store back to the hotel.
I plan to get a third bag at some point because sometimes one is left at home. I find them that useful.

This is a great product. I bought these to replace some free reusable shopping totes I obtained from my employer. The other bags lasted a long while but were getting tiny holes here and there from the corners of boxes poking through. If I were going to buy replacements, I wanted sturdy bags that could manage heavy loads and would last a long time. I also wanted bags with long handles to go over my shoulder so I could carry many items and still have my hands free. These bags fit the bill. It wasn't until I started looking for bags that I noticed that a lot of them had short handles -- one of the things I despise about plastic grocery bags. Short handles hurt my hands with heavy loads and do not allow me to have a free hand to use my keys or open the door at the same time. These bags also hold a lot, being the same size as the old brown paper grocery bag. They stand up on their own, earning me a compliment from the Trader Joe's cashier the other day. Plus they are easy for me to pack when I go to the self-checkout at other stores. Even though they are thick and sturdy, they fold up easily for storage in my car. I bought the black bags so they would look professional in case I needed them to carry items for work -- so they are versatile and not just for shopping. The colors look nice, though, and I am tempted to get the red ones if I ever need any more. I bought three, and they carry at least a week's groceries for me. The fact that these are American made is a big plus. I feel good about helping people in my own country. Customer service is great, and the warranty is awesome (I don't think I'll ever need it -- these bags are well-constructed -- but it's nice to know it's there). These bags are well worth the front end investment and are not that much more than foreign-made bags. In fact I've seen "designer" shoppers of poorer quality for much more than these. These bags will last a long time, I can tell. I'm really happy with this purchase.
