A secure place for your keys. Clip your keys for easy access. This key clip features a plastic loop hook with closer tab for quick slip on / slip off for your keys. Using the Stainless Pin Mount, simply press and screw the pin grip through your bag's fabric or webbing (preferred), position the base mount on the fabric and spin the base mount onto the pin grip.
These precision crafted pin mounts mean easy attachment for a handy key ring. Now you can hang your keys onto any bag we make. Mount it to the inside lip of a pocket on our backpacks, carry on bags, briefcases. Or attach to the webbing on a strap - should you not want to poke a hole in your bag!
Not just for bags, the Pin Mount Key Clip can also be attached to belts, pants, work coats, and so on. Secure your keys, yet still have quick access. Also good for attaching tools, flash lights, knives, anything with a key ring, lanyard or 1/4" hole. Tested tough by divers under harsh oceanic conditions.

Key Clip Mounting Instructions:
1. Grasp pin grip, turn left to unwind, remove pin grip from base mount. CAREFUL! Pin is quite sharp!
2. Position base mount where you want to mount your key clip. Screw pin through backside of material, then screw pin onto base mount. Flip base over so key loop hangs with opening pointing outwards. Tighten screw pin firmly in place on backside. If tab is above hook, push tab on loop hook sideways until it pops under the hook on the loop. See "Additional Images" at left for clarification.
NOTE! Removing the pin will leave a puncture mark in Cordura. Red Oxx recommends screwing, not pushing, the pin through the fabric, if possible, between woven threads to minimize damage to the fabric.
For best results, mount the key clip to a mesh pocket, an interior flat pocket or interior webbing.

I purchased the clip as an afterthought when I placed an order for the CPA briefcase, figuring what the heck. I am glad I made the purchase.
I have the clip attached to my Rock-Hopper over the shoulder bag and now have a home for the keys that I previously had to dig for. The mouting is secure and well constructed.
Like the Red Oxx metal ID tags and wire locks, this is another item that proves to me that Red Oxx knows how to take care of a traveler's needs.

Very handy product. I think it is a little bulky and I am not fond of poking hole in my luggage. If Red Oxx put some loops of webbing into the compartments of their luggage, they could make a smaller, more compact version that clipped onto the web loops and you would not have to pierce your luggage.

I bought two of these and have one in my Air Boss and another in my Metro laptop bag. They are easy to install and can be removed and reinstalled over again as your mood changes. By adding a small clip like this, you can hang keys or other small items inside your bag to keep them from getting lost down in the bottom and making it easier to grab them when needed.

A nice, reasonably-priced option...and not just for Red Oxx gear.
It's nice that you can position the clip as you see fit and where you want it.
I use them on the Gator but also on a Filson Briefcase Computer Bag, the slightly wider version of their "Original." Before the Key Clip I used biners on the straps.
The KeyClip is a heckuvva lot better choice//

This is a great idea. I put it into the outside pocket of my Sunchaser, clipped my keys there, and forgot about them until the trip home.

I bought several of these clips.
I like that they can be moved from bag to bag, and the screw mechanism seems secure.
Like the previous person who commented, I also unscrewed the clip and reversed the bit that holds the keys. Used the way the instructions said, the unit seemed a bit bulky. However, when the clip part was reversed, it fits in my bag just fine.

I ordered this as a "what the heck" purchase, not really thinking I'd make much use of it. I'm a minimalist at heart and always kept my keys in my pocket anyway. But I've gotta say that it's been really nice to clip my keys into the bag, throw it into the overhead bin, and be just a little more comfy in the seat without the keys in the pocket. It's been on 3 work trip so far and I modified it a little bit before the 3rd work trip. I unscrewed the loop and reversed it. That way it doesn't stick out so far from the webbing you attach it to. Just a personal preference you might want to try.

The only issue that I have ever had with any Red Oxx bag is the lack of a key clip, until now. In typical Red Oxx fashion, they have gone beyond what is normally expected. While I have often lamented the lack of a place to securely attach my keys, I am now glad that Red Oxx waited and offered a superb option. With other bags, you are stuck with the mounting location deemed proper by the designers of those bags. Now you can place the key clip in the location that works best for you. I just received my pin mount key clip and installed it in my PR4 on the extra webbing below the attachment point on the "D" ring. It is almost like the additional webbing was left in that location for just that purpose. Now I just have to find a place to install another clip in my Air Boss.
