This Medium Aviator Bag is perfect for cramming camping gear into. Jam 2 sleeping bags, pillows, pads and even an extra blanket and you've got most of what you need to keep you and your honey warm for a night in the wild. This utility bag is also great for carrying a weeks worth of clothes. Many folks have found they can put their ski gear in the bag, boots, helmet, jacket... transporting it safely to and from the resort. Just under 2 feet long and like it's big brother, the Large Aviator, it stands at 15" high. Folks like the 3/4 wraparound #10 YKK heavy-duty zipper which opens up the bag nearly flat. Enveloping 1.5" wide webbing handle wraps all the way around the bottom of the bag. This webbing is double box stitched at all stress points. Available in Black only.

We use this bag every time we travel. It packs flat in our suitcase going and carrys our dirty clothes and whatever else we want to cram in there. It weighs right at 50lbs fully stuffed.

I have purchased several Red Oxx bags for my personal travels and have grown to admire both this company and their product, so when I got a chance to teach a class on emergency response to a group of Pipeliners I purchased five of these bags as giveaways during the class. They were so impressed with the quality of the bags that several of the attendees who did not get them as giveaways have purchased them on their own to stow their responder gear.

An extremely tough built gear bag, that holds a ton of stuff.
I like the fact that there are no extra pockets.
I use packing cubes and they fit in perfectly, keeping my gear organized and giving the bag some structure.
Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Great price, great build quality. What more could you want in a bag?

As a track and field official I was looking for a bag to put all things needed to conduct a throwing event at a track meet. Officials use different types of tool boxes and duffles, some with more than one bag on their way to their event. I wanted one bag where I could carry it all. Here's what the Aviator held this past weekend:
3 18 inch officials flags, red, white, yellow.
12 inch orange cone to put in a throwing circle to signify it being closed for warmups.
2 clipboards, 1 clipboard that holds paper, rule books, rain gear, 2 towels, backpack cover for the Aviator in case there is rain, softsided 6 pack cooler with water, Little Roy with personal items, and the Nomad filled with tools, first aid kit, pencils, etc. There is still room for rainboots and a jacket which hopefully stay in the car for most meets! It's a little heavy, but I can sling the Aviator up on my shoulder to lessen fatigue. A great bag at a great price!

The bag is really nice/sturdy/well-made.
The few issues I have:
I wish there was a large shoulder strap. The handles do fit over my shoulder though, so this is how I end up carrying it.
I measured out how big I thought the bag would be based on the dimensions on the website. I completely underestimated the size though. It's huge. I am able to keep two volleyballs, a complete change of clothes, and three sets of shoes with tons of room to spare. I probably would buy the smaller version if I had to do this over again.
Finally, there are no extra pockets. A few small pockets would have made it a lot easier for me to keep track of the smaller items I keep in the bag. I just have to end up searching for an extra few minutes though.
Overall though, these cons aren't really a big deal, and I give the bag 4/5.

I bought this bag for my extra bulky equipment on photo shoots. This bag is huge, and solidly made. You could probably fit a small person in here! But seriously, the bag is really well made and bigger than I expected.

You filled my order promptly and the bag arrived just in time to use it on a fly in fishing trip from Cold Bay. This is a good strudy bag that holds enough gear for a week long fly out fishing trip. It handled the rigors of the airline and float plane and is ready for the next trip.

I had been using an old hockey bag for my safety and site work gear for the last several years. When I stumbled across Red Oxx gear I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of products, made locally and ruggedness of the gear. I immediately picked up an aviator bag for my work gear, and it all fits in. Boots, outerwear, hardhats, harnesses, and light tools can all be stored conveniently in one easy to manoeuvre bag. I had thought a medium would be too small, but it is just right.

I bought this bag without ever having seen one in person, and I was not disappointed: it's a rugged, simple, no-frills bag with a lifetime warranty.
I bought the medium, and don't let the name fool you, it's a pretty *BIG* bag. Ideally a Small would have suited me most of the time, but having a little larger bag than you regularly need makes more sense than having one that is sometimes not big enough.
Sizing tip: If you're having trouble visualizing the sizes of these bags, get some cardboard and cut and tape some pieces to form a "box" that is the size of the bag you're considering. You could even try packing things in this "box" to see how it fits your needs.

This bag holds almost exactly the fifty pounds allotted for checked baggage on an airline. It is seemingly indestructible (but I haven't tested on British Airlines, yet), stay tuned. The light weight of this bag means I get 48 out of the 50 lbs for clothing and stuff.The old cube-of-clothing packing method works great. I use a plastic garbage bag at the bottom to assure water is resisted during the time I don't control the bag.I am not a one-bagger, and I definitely need wheels. This bag sits perfectly atop a Porter Case carry-on, which turns into a luggage cart upon landing.

Why are some Mesh? We liked the idea of a breathable bag, especially for damp clothes and beach or swimming accessories.

Are these carry-on legal?The Extra Small and the Small Aviator are both carry-on legal.
Is there a shoulder strap? The bag would not work with a shoulder strap as the zipper is designed to open the bag fully.
Are the Kit Bags waterproof?All Red Oxx bags are water resistant, not waterproof. The stitching puts holes in the fabric.
