The Mesh model is the perfect size for a swimming session at your local gym or beach. Featuring the 3/4 wrap (top and ends) Leno Mesh zipper panel, your wet towel and swimsuit can dry out a little bit instead of mildewing and turning all stinky before you get it home.
Also makes for a handy Laundry Bag - the rectangle shape contributes to maximum capacity efficiency and the mesh venting keeps you from gagging when you unzip the bag.
Measuring 15" long, 8 inches tall and nearly a foot wide, the 3/4 wrap-around #10 YKK heavy duty zipper mesh panel opens up this rectangular wet/dry bag nearly flat. Enveloping 1.5" wide webbing handles wrap all the way around the bottom of the bag and is double box stitched to the bag.

Ordered the extra small Aviator Kit Bag with Mesh to carry my every day sports cloth to and from the GYM. Great simple bag for that purpose!
Extra Small is Not so Small

Don't be fooled by it's name. This extra small bag has lots of room inside! In fact, it's the perfect size for what I seem to haul around 90% of the time (gym clothes, overnight clothes, etc.)
I have both versions of the bag but I like the mesh a little better because of the breathability. Both are simple, no frills, durable bags that are built to last. Isn't that why we buy Red Oxx in the first place?
I like this bag so much that I have purchased six in the last year. They are modestly priced and I give them as gifts to friends and family. So far, everyone who received one loves it and asks, "where did you find this bag?" I tell them that it's amazing what a Google search can turn up!
This is a wonderful bag and I hope Red Oxx will consider an Extra Extra Small version of it. I know I would buy it!

I use this bag for taking my daughter to the pool. The mesh allows wet towels and suits to air out. It's much better than having all of the moisture build up in a non-mesh bag. I have also used this bag to move textbooks. I love the simple design and high quality materials. Thank you for an excellent product!

I agree with the others. It is nice bag to bring to the gym. I use a little packing square for odds and ends. Would be nice to have a shoulder strap though.

I bought this to use both as a carry-on and to pack in my Air Boss, depending upon needs. It folds up nicely to fit in the Air Boss without taking a ton of room.
It turns out it's also quite useful for taking to the gym, packing stuff for a picnic (thought not hardly a stereotypical picnic basket) and fitting kids soccer gear in.
For the price, it can't be beat.

I got this bag for the gym recently, and it is exactly what's called for. The size is perfect for shoes, clothes, towels, and the assorted stuff that needs to go, with room to spare. I was concerned the mesh wouldn't be durable, but it looks to be just about as tough as the fabric on the rest of the Red Oxx bags.
The size will be perfect for a small second carry-on too. With packing cubes you could it a ton of stuff in one of these bags and it will fit anywhere on the plane.
If it was heavily loaded I could see wanting a shoulder strap, but it's kind of nice to not have to mess with one the rest of the time, plus keeping the price this low is worth not having one.
Red Oxx, you keep making reasons for me to get more of your bags...

I purchased this bag to replace my current gym bag that is too big and clumsy. I use it daily and was looking for something smaller and clean without all the useless pockets. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and the excellent zipper and mesh. The volume capacity is really deceiving. I can carry all my gym attire including tennis shoes (size 12s)and a tall water bottle. I use a cube to keep my toiletries from going all over the bag. It zips up nicely and the breathable mesh leaves a very professional looking bag. I really like the no frills approach taken for the design of this bag. I have two other Red Oxx bags (Air Boss/ excellent bags!) and was waiting for Red Oxx to develop some type of bag I could use for the gym. This bag meets the requirement with flying colors!

This is a clever bag but not so little (check the Field Specs for the capacity.) I bought this bag for myself, but what was I thinking?
It wasn't in the house an hour before my sweetie decided it would be a perfect carrier for his photo lighting gear as it is much lighter than his old bag that he has been using for decades.
Silly me! I was planning to use it as an extra bag to carry home shopping from my travels as it is so light it can ride along empty and not be a burden.

Thanks to the other reviews I bought this bag for my fight gear. This bag holds it's shape so I can load, unload, and find items easily. I love the mesh, it allows my fight gear and gi to dry but it's dark enough that it is quite discreet. It's really well made. Zipper and material is strong. Definitely no frills. The only additional feature I would have liked is an optional shoulder strap but other than that it's a great bag.

this bag is great for kids soccer, it will fill with shoes, ball, goalie gloves, water bottle, wallet, keys, etc. we use it for basketball games too. its nice that it breathes. great bag.

The zipper won't open accidentally if you don't zip it all the way shut - it will only open when you pull the tab.

Well obviously the price, but did you know you still get a nice luggage i.d. holder(same one from the "real" bags) & the little "dog tag" cable that you can convert into a key ring?
Ok the previous reviewer nailed it, this makes a great gym bag, if you don't like the droopy "tube" style duffels. Also this has tough but breathable mesh so stuff has a chance to dry out.
Especially good for my boxing gear, since I leave my gloves and focus mitts in there to keep them away from the toddler, and they still dry out without hindrance.
And no, the bag isn't a miracle drying machine, so don't leave a wet swimsuit in there unless you like nasties. And don't assume the air circulation is enough to dry out a wadded up judo uniform when the air can circulate into the wad.
Like I said though, it's perfect for letting boxing gloves and mitts dry out, and will probably handle a sweaty tee shirt too.
BTW I'm ordering the "non-mesh" version today. This "extra small" is a perfect fit for Rick Steves Packing Cubes (my favorites!) and will make a great carry-on piece when I am checking a larger bag. Based on my trial packing at home, this will swallow up the Steves Packing Cubes with plenty of room left over for a toiletries kit and TSA pouch on the side.
Keep in mind that this bag and the non-mesh version have NO slots or pockets. If you like or organize your packing using cubes, ditty bags, or bundlewrapping, that's not a problem (in fact it's an advantage, with no extra volume or weight from "built in" pockets), just keep in mind that this bag provides "just the space ma'am" and no frills.
Finally, the extra small is probably better for carry-on that their designated carry-on Aviator, the "Small". Simply because none of these no-frills suitcase style duffels have attachment points for straps. I have the Small Aviator (non-mesh) and will be using it as my modest "checked" bag on my next flight to Thailand; I will use the "Extra Small" as my cabin carry-on.
(Since I'm small, I can stick my arm through the handle loops and carry either the Small or Extra Small on my shoulder, but if you are 6 foot and beefy that might not work as well for you. Anyway I don't mind carrying these bags the way the designer intended, by hand or on a cart.)

I just returned from a trip to Colorado doing some camping and off-roading. I was told these mesh bags make great laundry bags and I couldn't agree more. I ordered the extra small mesh kit bag and it was more than enough for a weeks worth of dirty clothes.
I soaked at one of the springs in Wyoming so I just wrung out my wet shorts and damp towel, laid them in the sun and then tossed them in the bag when we were ready to leave. Next day they had fully dried. The mesh is very tough and the big handle makes carrying the bag easy. I think Red Oxx bags definitely are "ideal offroad" soft luggage and these are perfect laundry bags, traveler or not.

I had been looking for gym bag for a while. The typical sports store gym bag offerings had useful features but typically were too big or 'styled' or 'teched out' for what I wanted to carry to the corporate gym. Okay, if I am carrying sailing equipment for the America's Cup but too much for my purposes. And if you needed the feature of 'mesh panels', you eliminated almost all of them as possibilities (shouldn't all gym bags have this?).This XS Aviator Kit Bag caught my eye since it was simple, black, with mesh panels and was the perfect size for just carrying gym clothes and toiletries to the gym. The tough Cordura and handle webbing alone are enough to give it structure without having to rely on the typical nylon covered cardboard 'floor' so it not does flop around when laid flat. So I'm happy that for the price of a typical gym bag I got something that is tough, discrete and really functionally well designed to carry damp clothing from the gym. And if I forget it to take it out of my car trunk one night when I return home, i won't return to a soggy, ammonia smelling mess.I thought about giving it 4 stars since this bag is so bare bones (no straps, strap hooks, pocket, key chain retainers, etc). But in the end this would only mess with the simplicity and versatility of the design and triple the price. I think Red Oxx was smart to keep this one cheap, tough and simple for the minimalists out there.
