As with all Red Oxx items I have purchased, the Flat Dog Gun Slip met and exceeded all expectations. From my experience with Red Oxx, they only design and sell products that will not only outlive any comparable product but most likely the purchaser as well. The quality and craftsmanship is beyond compare and I would recommend this product to anyone considering a gun slip. Best thing about making a purchase from Red Oxx is that you will only have to buy it once. Keep up the good work.

As with all my Red Oxx purchases, I did my research and came to the conclusion that it's worth the money to buy a high quality American product. Mind you, I found another slip that's made in the USA for 1/10th the price, but there's no way the material and quality is even comparable and I'm sure that one doesn't have this great lining. No regrets buying this. I got it mainly to transport my scoped .22 to and from the range, but I was surprised to see my Mossberg 500 with pistol-grip Knoxx Stock also fits easily in this case. Makes me think an AR without the magazine would fit too depending on the height of the optics. If I really wanted to, my 30" barrel O/U shotgun fits with just a little bit sticking out the top (but that rides safely in its take-down case). I can't imagine there are many rifles or pump or auto-loading shotguns that won't fit in here.

Obviously a great item for anything from my Winchester 94/22 and Marlin 336C (neither with a scope) to my scoped rifles.
I have a number of Boyt and Cabelas canvas cases and like them a lot...but they won't do what the FLATDOG does... for travel and packing it will also protect a couple of cased or uncased 3 and 4-pc fly rods and maybe a reel bag, or a 2-pc spinning rod with the reel attached. I don't miss the zippers because the FLATDOG is fast, light and tie-secured to just the right length.

Great quality and easy to pack. I will taking two of these with me next week on trip to Africa. Should be perfect for protecting my rifles in the gun rack on the Land Cruiser.

Bought a 10/22 for my wife with a purple and grey laminated stock. The amethyst gun slip is the perfect compliment. Color is dead on purple. Very well made and sized right. I'll be ordering more for my other rifles. Is there a pistol version?

Got my Flat Dog in last week and tried it out this past weekend coyote hunting. We hunt coyote with July hounds and it's in and out of the truck all day long and your rifle or shotgun takes a beating or should I say that in the past tense. The Flat Dog is thin and light and slips on and off quickly, my favorite custom rifle or shotgun will be well protected and I won't be inconvenienced taking that extra care.

What's the difference between the Flat DogGun Runner, and Varmint Master?
The Flat Dog is a gun slip with no padding and is primarily intened for shotgun use. Gun Runner is a padded rifle case and the Varmint Master is designed for sniper, tactical, long range target and varmint style rifles with extra long target barrels and large long range scopes with added pockets for the extra shooting gear that comes with long range shooting.

The Gun Runner is a padded rifle case. The Flat Dog serves mearly as a rifle slip without padding.
What's the lining fabric in the Flat Dog?
The Flat Dog is lined with a soft industrial quality Velor upholstery that will not scratch your rifle or shotgun.
Will the Flat Dog allow for a mounted bipod?
Depends on the type of bipod. We've managed to get a 24 inch SAKO with scope and bipod into a Flat Dog but it was a tight fit.

Full length of the gun slip is 48 inches. Measure your gun from stem to stern.
